Don is a pioneer and entrepreneurial leader. He married his high school sweetheart, Mona, at the early age of eighteen. In April of 1990, he was ordained into public ministry. In May of the same year, he graduated from the renowned Hofstra University with a Bachelor of Arts in History at just twenty years old. By the time Don was twenty-two he preached in Zimbabwe, Africa. By age twenty-four Don obeyed God’s call, relocated from New York to Atlanta, Georgia and planted what is now known as Canaan Land Church International. Canaan Land Church International began in Don’s den with just Mona, Don and their firstborn son. Under Don’s leadership, the church built a million-dollar edifice with only thirty-five adult members. In just three years, the church grew to over five hundred members.
Simultaneously, Don’s national and international influence increased. He planted four churches in Ghana, Africa and began to speak regularly in Europe. His inspiring and motivational messages move people to action. He speaks nationally and internationally at:

Don has been empowered to empower others. In 2004, he graduated with a Masters of Organizational Leadership from the prestigious Regent University in Virginia Beach, Virginia. In 2008, Don obtained his Doctorate of Strategic Leadership, with a concentration in coaching, from Regent University’s School of Global Leadership and Entrepreneurship. He is one of a handful of doctors in the nation with this caliber of training and background. This has uniquely qualified him to consult and coach both local and global influencers and speak to both ministry and marketplace leaders and their organizations.
Don’s leadership articles and books have empowered thousands of people. Don served as publisher of the twenty thousand distributed community publication StoneCrest Connection. Additionally, he was a contributing writer for Gospel Flava Magazine, a national Christian Hip-hop publication. He is the author of, Your Past Is Not Your Future: Rediscover Yourself in God. His article, “When Training Costs too Much and is Not Enough,” was published in the Journal of Practical Consulting. Don’s most recent book, Weathering the Storm: Leading in Uncertain Times was co-written by Dr. Samuel R. Chand.
