Chris Bowen

Pastor Chris Bowen is Founder and Senior Pastor of Living Faith Tabernacle in Forest Park, Georgia. Called by God at the age of seven to preach the Gospel, he did not begin to fulfill the call until he was fifteen. After graduating high school in South Charleston, Ohio, Pastor Chris attended Beulah Heights Bible College in Atlanta, Georgia, where he not only received his Bachelor’s degree, but also met his wife. From there, God launched them into the ministry together. On May 20,1990, Pastor Chris founded Living Faith Tabernacle in a small hotel room with 15 members.Since then, he has led Living Faith through many building projects, the latest being the facility they now occupy on Old Dixie Road in Forest Park. In 2005 they completed the fifth building project, expanding the original sanctuary from seating of 600 to over 1300, as the congregation has grown from 15 in attendance to over 1,400 under the leadership of Pastor Chris. In 2010, Living Faith broke ground on their new senior citizens housing project. Because of his vision and burden for the community of Forest Park, Pastor Chris has opened the doors of Living Faith to host two new congregations. The Spanish church was launched here in 2003, and is currently running over 200 in attendance. An amazing work was birthed in February of 2004, with a Vietnamese congregation holding services at the facilities as well. This is only the beginning of what God has in store for Living Faith, which now holds 5 Sunday services. Pastor Chris received his Master’s Degree in Leadership Development at Southwestern College of Christian Ministry in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and is currently pursuing his Doctorate through Oral Roberts University in Pastoral Care and Counseling. He has been an instructor of leadership courses for Beulah Heights University and Southwestern Christian University. When Pastor Chris graduated from Beulah Heights in 1987, he never dreamed he would be returning as an instructor! His experience proves that when you submit yourself to the calling of God on your life, there is no limit to how He will use you. He is not only Senior Pastor of Living Faith Tabernacle, but he is CEO of the Rising Son Daycare, Principal of the Rising Son Christian Academy where he is currently teaching Biblical Education, hosting an extension course at LFT for ORU, which opened in the Spring of 2009.He is also an entrepreneur, currently running three separate and very successful companies. He has authored 9 books consisting of his life story, his illness, Illustrated Sermons, and special studies.

He resides in Fayetteville, Georgia, with his wife, Kathy and sons, Nathan and C.J.
